Best of Rajasthan - 10 days
Take an exciting journey through the colourful state of Rajasthan, starting in Jaipur you'll then continue to Rathambore National Park and begin your search for the elusive tiger. Next you'll visit the religious city of Pushkar, the beautiful blue city of Jodphur and the romantic Udaipur, often know as the 'City of Lakes'. Ending your tour in the energetic capital of Delhi.
This morning you may wish to join our exhilarating Balloon Over Jaipur add-on and sail with the wind over the Pink City. Gaze down over fortresses and regal palaces before we return to land and begin our tour of Jaipur. Take a jeep ride up the hill to explore the picturesque lakeside palace of Amber Fort and visit a local cotton weaving house. We then tour the 18th century City Palace and the Jantar Mantar space observatory. This UNESCO-listed site contains 19 separate astrological instruments, including the world’s largest stone sundial.

Jaipur - Ranthambore. On day 3 we leave Jaipur and travel to Ranthambore National Park, renowned as an important habitat for endangered Bengal Tigers. This reserve has been part of the Indian Government’s Project Tiger conservation effort since 1973. Over the next two days we’ll embark on three included game drives into the park. Look out for an abundance of wildlife including leopards, wild boar, sambar deer, sloth bears, and of course, tigers. This iconic big cat may be seen lounging in the sun or pacing down the trails of the park. With three excursions into the park, we have a great chance of seeing these majestic wild animals.

Ranthambore - Pushkar. Leaving Ranthambore today, we travel to the town of Pushkar - an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Enjoy a tour of Pushkar Lake, which is said to have healing powers and is surrounded by more than 500 Hindu Temples on its shores. We then continue to the colourful Brahma Temple, the most important temple dedicated to this creator-god in the whole of India.

Pushkar - Jodhpur. Today we drive to the city of Jodhpur, located on the edge of the Thar Desert. The old town houses are a distinctive blue colour, giving the city its nickname. On arrival we break for lunch and then enjoy a tour of the highlights of Jodhpur, including the giant Mehrangarh Fort. This fortress was built in the 15th century on a hill above the city and dominates the surrounding area. Our tour will also take in the bustling bazaars of the old city and there will be time for you to barter with local merchants for goods including textiles and ornaments.

Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur. On day 7 we travel to the small town of Ranakpur, which is famous for its beautiful white Jain temple. Explore this impressive site and keep an eye out for the local monkeys, which live in and around the town and love to cause mischief. Later, we continue to Udaipur for an evening at leisure. A favourite amongst travellers, Udaipur is viewed as one of Rajasthan’s most romantic cities.
On day 8 we enjoy a guided tour of Udaipur and see the majestic City Palace, which took more than 400 years to complete. There’s free time after the tour to explore the shops and markets before we enjoy a relaxing evening cruise on scenic Lake Pichola.

Friday. Today our Rajasthani adventure comes to an end with an included departure transfer to the airport.
FINISH YOUR TOUR IN MUMBAI
You can opt to travel independently onward from Udaipur to Mumbai. On day 9 board a morning flight to Mumbai, the exhilarating and charismatic city at the heart of the glamorous Hindi film industry and often referred to as Bollywood. Enjoy the rest of the day in this vibrant city exploring at your own pace. Overnight - Mumbai. The following day the tour ends after breakfast. Following hotel check-out transfer to the international airport for your onward travel.

A former royal residence, this charming red stone 1940s bungalow has been tastefully restored to its former beauty.
