Product Executive - Brisbane, Australia
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated person, with travel industry experience looking for a career in product management. The executive role is a stepping-stone to becoming a Product Manager within our business. Based in our Brisbane office, the executive will work alongside other product managers assisting in creating new, and changing existing product, tours and itineraries, contracting and pricing, managing day to day operations with our DMC’s, load management, writing copy for the web and supporting our global reservations team. As a member of a small global support team, you’ll have a keen eye for detail, be open to change and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Generate ideas and contribute to product development
- Content writing including trip notes, documents, client letters
- Review passenger feedback, highlight trends or concerns and put forward ideas to solve
Supplier/ DMC Relationships
- Create excellent working relationships with our DMC’s around the world
- Maintain and develop relationships with key stake-holders
- Assist in negotiating rates, inclusions, and service level agreements
- Problem solving (either client or the effect of a change in local conditions) occurring in destination with minimal upheaval, change and cost
Inventory Management & Product Training
- Loading dates and pricing contracts
- Edit & update web pages with current information
- Assist in training the Sales team when new products are launched
- Attend Consumer shows and Expos promoting product if or when required
- Work closely with Digital marketing team to ensure administration of product and offers on web
Who We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a travel industry role
- Previous travel to On The Go destinations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient computer, numeracy and data analytical skills
- Skills in Photoshop software (optional)
