Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, well spoken and approachable. He knew his facts and was able to add context as the tour went along. We loved this tour, and it was largely because of our guide. He was excellent as was the tour more generally.

I feel like I gained an uncle from my experience with our guide, Ahmed. He is a truly amazing and genuinely kind person. My friend and I (two women in our late 20s) don’t know what we would’ve done without him. We felt very safe with him. He took his time explaining the culture, customs and history of his city. We had a strict end time due to an appointment we had in the afternoon and he was so accommodating. If we had more time, I would have wanted a continuation of the tour with him. I highly recommend Ahmed and this experience for any visitor!

We spent the day with Ahmad Malik and it was terrific. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and fun. It was a great way to see the sites and learn a lot about Morocco and fes.

Had a very wonderful half day with our fantastic tour guide Idris, who is very helpful in leading us through the winding streets of the medina highly recommend esp on first time visit to Fez, impossible to make the most out of it on a self-guide otherwise. He took us to all sorts of sites and shops seeing how things are being handmade. We were never pushed by the guide to buy anything which I really appreciate and Idris is the most elegant dressed guide in Morocco we've seen!

Excellent tour of the Medina. You cannot visit Fez without a guide and Ahmad introduced us to the city and its crafts. He was not pushy about us buying anything and wanted to know what we wanted to do so the tour could follow our interests.

Our tour guide Youniz was superb! He was very passionate about his job of sharing history of this ancient and magical city. He took us to the Royal Palace, through the Old Town Medina, the lively markets, and presented a view of the city that I'm sure we'd have never seen if left on our own. Perfect tour for the price!

Our guide Momo was exceptional. We had a fantastic tour of the Medina. Especially interesting was the visit to the leather dying vats. We had to cut the tour short so that we could catch our train to Marrakesh. No problem: Momo got us there on time. Such a rewarding and educational experience to go through the Medina with Momo....rather than just roam around an buy stuff.

I was the only person on this group tour, so essentially had a private guide. He was excellent! Very knowledgeable and, when he saw my interest in math, went into detail about why our numbers look the way they do and other math-centric stuff. He clearly knew his city and enjoyed sharing it. I strongly recommend this tour!

This is Must do tour if you have never been to Fez. It's difficult to know the right places to go to and the story behind them and especially really hard to walk around the Medina if no one is there to guide you. Our Guide Mohamed was wonderful, he was very patient and did not Rush the tour. He explained in details the History and the stories behind every place we visited. He was funny and highly knowledgeable. He took us to different shops to see how pottery, leather etc...were made without being asked to buy anything. We bought some things because we wanted to. He seemed like a respected man in the city, everyone was greeting him and no one bothered us. He also offered us water and a drink inside the Medina which was very much appreciated in Hot summer day.

A great way to see the Medina! Our tour guide was very informative and took us to all the places we wished to see!

Great tour, would not have been anywhere near as enjoyable on our own. Too much of a maze and a hustle without a guide and he was a local who did a great job.

Very good tour, its really hard to enjoy Medina without a tour guide who knows every passage who was in my case. Sometimes I was pulled inside some merchant' stand and encouraged to buy something, which actually I do not need but this is a part of the game. The tour lasted approx. 8 hours instead of 4 stated in the tour description.

We had a really interesting tour with Ziad who knew the Medina like the back of his hand. His English was excellent and we learnt so much about Morocco past and present. Would recommend this.

First off I messed up and booked the tour on the wrong date. The company was very quick to help me and still made the tour happen. That was great. Abey showed up on his motorcycle which was hilarious and awesome. We zipped around to many sites and the price was definitely worth it. My only complaint is all the shopping stops. I understand of course many people like that sort of thing but it should be asked up front if you want to shop. I was by myself and only wanted to see the Médina. However seeing the tannery was interesting. You just feel a lot of pressure to shop.

Given that we had already had a government-certified tour of tanneries, ceramic and carpet artisans the previous day, we asked our guide to take us to the cultural sites and museums that we craved. We had to specifically ask him to return and to take us to an important historical museum that he passed over when we were near there a few minutes earlier with him. He did not seem to understand our fascination with the details of the museums artifacts, costumes , gardens and other historical remnants visible in the museum.

I can partially recommend this tour. It is hard to get around on your own in the Medina of Fez, because it is really big. The Tour-Guide was friendly and answered all my questions. I have been on my own on this tour, what was not a problem. A problem was, that the tour has only been 2 1/2 instead of 4 hours. That was pretty sad, because it was quite expensive for a Moroccan tour guide. I have also been taken to different kind of shops were the guide wanted me to buy things, but I did not want to. He got kind of angry with me and explained me that it is normal and useful to buy things in the Medina and so on. I just did not want to buy the things he showed me because for me it was not a shopping tour. He talked to one shop owner and I felt like they were laughing about me, because I said that I do not have enough money to buy leather jackets. I did not expect that from a paid tour guide! I do not know if there is a better tour in Fez, but I would highly recommend to do a walking tour through the Medina, it is nearly impossible to see the good spots on your own. I am not sure if there is a tour in Fez without visiting any shops, maybe you will find one :D

I enjoyed the trip. My tour guide was knowledable and helpful, a very nice and easy-going fellow. But I didn't like the fact that he was pulling the old, I'll take you to this shop to see how it is made, which is the oldest tourist trap in the book. The merchants kick back a commission to him for any sale made, and all he does is sit by and wait. I didn't object because, to be honest, I was interested in the how it was made, and part of my reason for going on the tour was to buy some things, so it worked out. I just don't like feeling as though I book a tour and I'm being used to generate additional revenue. The guide is supposed to work for me, not for the merchants. If you realize this is what is going to happen, it's a worthwhile tour, and probably a steal at this price.

As there was no one else on the tour I got a private tour which was great for the most part especially when visiting the madrassas and other points of interest. When you get invited into the carpet, fabric and leather shops the hard sell by the merchants becomes more intense. I would have wanted a more of a historical tour, whereas this one leaned more on the market selling which this tour obviously gets a commission off. The initial price that the carpet sellers offer after the whole story they give you oh you can sell it back home for a profit, and the lady fingers bleed to make this rug is way overpriced at least 3x what you could get from an online UK store that imports them. It is however advisable to go on a tour of the Fes medina as it is literally a maze designed to confuse you and the touts make the whole situation uncomfortable. Its advisable to bring small currency as there will be tipping and small entry fees to the sites involved.

This tour was disappointing... the tour guide lied numerous times to suit himself... the tour ended in the middle of Fes far from our riad without any clue as to how to get back ... didn’t really learn much but watched the guide say hello to all of his friends as he made his way through the city...
