Day 1: Nairobi
Friday. Welcome to Nairobi. We will collect you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight - Nairobi
Day 2: Animal Orphanage
This morning we visit the Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage in Nairobi National Park before continuing on to the Giraffe Centre where we get to learn all about these lofty animals and hand feed them! Spend the afternoon at leisure by the pool or perhaps visit the local markets. Tonight there is a meeting at 17:00 where we will be briefed on our exciting African adventure. Overnight - Nairobi (B)

Day 3: Nanyuki
Nairobi - Nanyuki. We head north across the equator to the market town of Nanyuki which is home to Kenya’s Air Force and a popular tourist resort due to its proximity to Mount Kenya, the country’s highest peak at 5199m. Overnight - Nanyuki (B, L, D)
Days 4 - 5: Samburu National Reserve
Nanyuki - Samburu National Reserve - Nakuru. Heading north-west we travel to Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is a small and unspoilt reserve, which is unique due to its populations of Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and Reticulated Giraffe. We take an afternoon game drive through the park in search of these animals. It’s an early start on day 5 as we head out for another exciting game drive before travelling west towards the Great Rift Valley to the town of Nakuru, Africa’s fourth largest town. Day 6: Lake Nakuru
Nakuru - Lake Nakuru NP. This morning we travel into Nakuru National Park which is famous for the thousands of lesser and greater flamingo that flock around the lake, it’s an incredible sight! The park was established as a sanctuary for black and white rhino, which can often be spotted. We spend the day in search of these prehistoric looking beasts, as well as the elusive leopard, encountering many other animals along the way. Overnight - Nakuru NP (B, L, D)
Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara NP. We depart Nakuru and enter Masai land, where these habitual pastoralists are often seen tending their cattle from the side of the road. We pass through the town of Narok, before arriving at our campsite. Acacia camp looks on to the Meguarra hills and at the far end of the camp, the stream forms the natural border of the Masai Mara National Park. Overnight - Masai Mara National Park (B, L, D)

Spend a truly memorable day driving through the Masai Mara national park, on the look out for the Big Five! If travelling between July to October you may be lucky enough to witness the incredible annual migration of the wildebeest and zebra and Thomsons gazelle. Sitting around the campfire, watching the sun set is the perfect way to finish a days game viewing in this ‘Garden of Eden’. Overnight - Masai Mara National Park (B, L, D)
Day 9: Nairobi
Saturday. Masai Mara - Nairobi. After breakfast we drive back to Nairobi and our late afternoon arrival marks the end of our memorable expedition. (B)
