Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
We depart early to reach Ngorongoro Crater, which is a vast and unbroken volcanic crater ring. Thanks to a permanent water and pasture source, the crater floor plays host to nearly every species of African animal. Zebra, buffalo, black rhino and wildebeest graze amongst the predatory lion, cheetah and hyena. After our game drive in the Crater, we head down the crater rim and past the ‘Cradle of mankind’ before we reach Serengeti National Park. Crossing vast plains we game drive through the southern and central areas of the park. Tonight we camp out in a campsite without fences, surrounded by the African wilderness! Overnight - Serengeti National Park (B, L, D)
Days 8 - 9: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading back to Arusha in the afternoon of day 8. On Thursday (day 9) enjoy some free time in Arusha before we drive back to Nairobi, where our trip finishes late afternoon. Arusha (1) (B:2, L:1, D:1)
