Welcome to China and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
This morning, we explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city. Overnight - 3 star hotel
Don some comfortable shoes! Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors. We also make a visit to a cloisonne workshop, where we’ll see firsthand the unique Chinese art of combining copper and enamel to make decorative pieces. This evening we take you to the station for your overnight train to Jilin (T271, 1910/0616) Overnight - 3 star hotel

Today enjoy a tour of this picturesue area, we visit Changbaishan (Tall White Mountain) which is a nature preserve that has tigers, deer, black bears, leopards, and sable among the more than 200 varieties of wildlife that live in its original, undisturbed forests. We also head out to see the generals tomb built in the 4th century for the king of the Gaogouli nation. Nanning a has history of more than 1,600 years and today we will explore some of its history in a city tour which will include visiting the beautiful parks of South Lake and the People and then onto Guangxi Museum home to various historical relics of the region. Overnight - 3 star Hotel

Fuzhou is both a historic and a cultural city with an over two-thousand-year of history with famed mountains, temples, tombs, gardens, towers and bridges throughout the city. The national scenic area - Mt.Gu (meaning drum hill in Chinese) is a famous Buddhist scenic spot, sitting on the north bank of the Min River which we will explore today. We then visit Xichan Temple, an ancient temple of the Tang Dynasty and one of five Buddhist in the city. Overnight - 3 star hotel

Today we head back out to the airport for your flight to Shanghai, where on arrival we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel with the afternoon yours at leisure. Overnight - 3 star hotel
Once known for its decadent magnetism that attracted fortune-seekers and adventurers, Shanghai looks like a European city in a Chinese setting. A stroll along the famous Shanghai Bund confirms this. Today, we visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, explore the Jade Buddha Temple, charming Yuyuan Gardens, and the Old City where we can opt to shop on Nanjing Road. Overnight - 3 star hotel
