Today, set out to sightsee the nation’s capital. Highlights will include Tiananmen Square & The Forbidden City. This evening, enjoy a dinner at a city restaurant.
Today, travel beyond Beijing to Badaling, where you can walk on the Great Wall. Continuing on, a visit is made to the tombs of the Ming emperors, where some 13 emperors were interred. The tombs are approached via a sacred gateway and gate houses. Also visit a cloisonne workshop, where you’ll see firsthand the production of decorative items utilising the techniques of this practised and ancient craft.
Today we visit Silk Alley markets, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace with its UNESCO-listed imperial gardens, located on Kunming Lake. Tonight you travel by sleeper train to Datong.
Arrival and transfer to your hotel. After hotel check-in and breakfast we head out to explore the Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Temple, The Nine Dragon Wall and The Shanhua Temple. This evening is free time to relax in your own time.
After breakfast today we head out to visit the peculiar wood-structured Hanging Monastery, built on the cliff at the foot of Mt. Hengshan it gives a breath-taking view of Chinese architecture. Because of the numerous pagodas in Datong it has been known as the 'City of Pagodas'. The most elaborate would have to be the Wooden Pagoda in Ying County. Evening at leisure.
This morning enjoy a private transfer to Pingyao which boasts the famous Pingyao Old City. From the top of the grand City Wall, you have a bird's-eye view of the Old City, a complete city built almost a thousand years ago. We also visit the Ancient Ming and Qing Street constructed in the original architectural style. Later this evening we will take you to the train station for the overnight sleeper train to Xian.
Arrival transfer to your hotel. Xi’an is perhaps most famous for the discovery of Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors you will enjoy a guided tour in the afternoon of this amazing site.
Today, we visit the city symbol, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, before enjoying a leisurely bike ride on Xi’an’s medieval City Wall, which dates from the Ming dynasty. We then visit the local Muslim Quarter and Great Mosque. Later, fly from Xi’an to Guilin.
We undertake a relaxing cruise down the River Li to Yangshuo passing an endless procession of peaks and simple villages. The local fishermen use trained cormorants to catch fish and local village boys paddle out to the river boats with all manner of souvenirs. Arrival in Yanshuo and we transfer you to your hotel.
This morning we will venture to Longsheng for a full days touring of the amazingly scenic dragons back bone rice terraces. Returning late to Guilin to catch the sleeper train to Guangzhou.
Arriving into Guangzhou - Guide will meet you for the transfer to your Hong Kong bound train. Arrival there and we transfer you to your hotel.

We transfer you to the airport for your flight to scenic Hangzhou. Hangzhou is unusual for a Chinese city, in that it encompasses large tracts of greenery which might normally be classified as countryside. Arrival transfer followed by a visit Six Harmonies Pagoda and Chinese Tea Museum.
Today we explore the West Lake, Lingyin Temple and take a bicycle ride in the area. Evening at leisure.
Sitting at the foot of Mt Huangshan, Tunxi is an ancient town that is set around the junction of two rivers in the southernmost area of Anhui Province. It’s famous ancient street is lined with many ancient, yet very well preserved buildings in the Ming and Qing style. Upon arriving in Tunxi, the remainder of the day at leisure.
Visit Huangshan by cable car. Considered the most beautiful mountain in China, Yellow Mountain or Huangshan is one of a range of 72 peaks in the south of Anhui Province. With your guide you will enjoy scenic walks to all the best places.

Returning to Tunxi we travel to ancient Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. One of China’s most charming cities, Suzhou’s fame rests on it’s waterways, and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and UNESCO-listed gardens.
Today enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty. Also visit a silk workshop and the Humble Administrator’s Garden.
Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Shanghai. En route to Shanghai stop off at lovely Zhouzhuang - an ancient town featuring traditional buildings, small bridges and tree-lined waterways astride the Jinghang Canal. Perhaps China’s most modern city, Shanghai's amazing Pudong skyline is breathtaking. Upon arrival enjoy a tour of the Bund area and a cruise on the Huangpu River.
Today we tour the Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden, Old City area, Oriental Pearl TV tower and Shanghai Museum.
Today is free for you to explore the sights of Shanghai. Perhaps visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, the Jade Buddha Temple, French Quarter or the Old City and have a drink at landmark Peace Hotel on Shanghai’s famous Bund, with its legendary jazz band which play nostalgic rhythms amidst 1930s Art Deco elegance.
