Day 1: Cairo Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday! Arrive Cairo, included transfer to hotel. Overnight - Cairo
Day 2: Cairo Cairo - Aswan - breakfast. Today we visit the pyramids and sphinx at Giza and ancient Saqqara. Tonight, we travel to Aswan by overnight (recliner seat) train. Overnight - seater train
Day 3: Aswan Aswan - breakfast box. l and check into our hotel. Today, we visit the Aswan High Dam and travel by boat to Agilika Island to visit the Temple of Philae. Later, free time to hit the bazaars or chill- out. Overnight - Aswan
Day 4 & 5: Nile Felucca Cruising Aswan - Nile Felucca Cruising - Kom Ombo - breakfast. Today, a visit to the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. Later, free time. On day 4, optional morning air excursion to Abu Simbel. Later, board your felucca for a 2 night cruise including all meals; with a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo. Lunch, dinner & overnight (2) - felucca
If sailing by felucca does not appeal, navigate the River Nile on board a 5 luxury Nile Cruiser with private cabin and ensuite bathroom. Add to this a sleeper train upgrade. Sleeper train cabins are fully enclosed, fitted with bunk beds, linen and washbasins. Both are offered through purchasing our Pharoah's Pass.

Day 6: Luxor Kom Ombo - Luxor - breakfast. Disembarking, we enjoy a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Later, time to chill-out at our hotel and spend the evening your way. Alternatively enjoy an optional visit to the Temple of Luxor by night by traditional horse and carriage and dinner afterward. The excursion is payable locally. Overnight - Luxor
Day 7: Luxor Luxor - Dahab - breakfast. On day 7, an early start! There is the option to float over Luxor in a hot air balloon and see area wake up and come alive. Afterwards,we visit the Luxor’s West Bank and later, the Temple of Karnak. This afternoon we travel by overnight bus to Dahab via Hurghada. Overnight - bus
Days 8 - 11: Dahab Dahab - breakfast. Arrival and hotel check-in. Dive, snorkel, sun-worship, chill, shop - take your pick. Enjoy also an optional snorkel excursion to the Blue Hole or excursion to Mt Sinai and St Katherine’s Monastery if your feeling energetic. Overnight - Dahab (3)
Day 12: Dahab Dahab - Aqaba - breakfast. Mid morning we transfer to Taba port to cross the Gulf of Aqaba by ferry, arriving to Aqaba, Jordan's premier seaside town. Free afternoon and evening. Overnight Aqaba (1)
Day 13: Aqaba Aqaba - Petra - breakfast. Good morning Aqaba! Azure blue waters brimming with kaleidoscopic marine life is a real attraction here at Aqaba. Alternatively, test your powers of buoyancy on an optional full day excursion to the Dead Sea including lunch and see the views over the Promised Land from the Dead Sea Panorama Point - book/pay locally. Late this afternoon we travel to Petra. Overnight - Wadi Musa (Petra).

Day 14: Petra Wadi Musa (Petra) - Wadi Rum - breakfast. Welcome to the Rose City! We access the city on our guided exploration through the famous narrow siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing sight, that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. We'll explore the ancient Nabataean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates and public buildings including the amphitheatre. Day 15: Petra and Wadi Rum Petra - breakfast. Free morning for further sightseeing in Petra. Later this afternoon we drive to Wadi Rum, where we enjoy an open-top 4x4 desert safari before tucking into an inclusive Bedouin dinner at our desert camp. Sleep tonight under a galaxy of stars or in tents. Dinner & overnight - Wadi Rum camp
Day 16: Cairo Wadi Rum - Cairo - breakfast. This morning we drive back to Aqaba and catch a return ferry to Egypt, travelling onwards to Cairo for a later evening arrival. Overnight - Cairo
Day 17: Cairo Cairo - breakfast. Free day or enjoy a guided visit to the Egyptian Museum. Hotel check out and included onward transfer to airport. If you are wishing to enjoy the most of day 17 in Cairo, it is important that you book a later afternoon flight or consider booking an extra night's post tour accommodation.

FINISH YOUR TOUR IN AMMAN You can opt to further explore Jordan and finish your tour in Amman. On day 16 you can choose to transfer to Jordan's capital, Amman. Includes 1 night 3 hotel and departure transfer to Queen Alia Airport in Amman. You may choose to add extra night's post accommodation and explore the nation's capital your own way. Finish your tour in Amman is available at a small additional cost, please check with your sales consultant for cost and availability.
Note: The Egyptian Museum tour is offered in Cairo on day 17. Should you wish to finish your tour in Amman, your Egyptian Museum tour can be undertaken on the morning of day 1. Be sure to arrange flights accordingly. |
