Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday! When you Arrive Cairo we will be there to meet you with an onward transfer to your hotel.
Today, enjoy a visit to the Pyramids at Giza, one of the sole survivors from the ancient Greek listed Seven Wonders of the World. In front of the pyramids sits the Sphinx, an enormous statue with the face of a man and body of a lion. Later, we explore the necropolis of Saqqara, with its litany of ancient tombs and famous centre piece, Zhoser’s step pyramid.
We start the day’s sightseeing with a trip to the Egyptian Museum to see the dazzling antiquities of ancient Egypt on display there, including the amazing treasures of King Tutankhamen. This afternoon we take a tour of Old Coptic Cairo, where we’ll find the Citadel and some of the oldest Christian churches in the world, including the Hanging Church.
This morning we fly to Luxor. At over 4,000 years old, Luxor is a living museum. We tour the East Bank, taking in the Temple of Luxor - built by Pharaoh Amenophis III and the magnificent Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods.
Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we’ll see as we arrive on the West Bank for our day's sightseeing. We visit the valleys of the Kings & Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut & Karnak temple. We will then transfer you to Marsa Alam and check you into the hotel.
Open your eyes this morning and take a peek out the window to the magical blue of the Red Sea. Sit back and relax by the pool sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun. Here you also opt to pay locally and go snorkelling or diving to view the amazing array of aquatic life in the nearby reefs or any number of other water sports.
We will transfer you back to Cairo and check you into the hotel. Rest of the day is free.
Bid a fond farewell to Egypt! Today we ensure to transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
