Now that we are back in the UK, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your colleagues for organising our trip to India. We had an amazing time and an experience we will never forget. The efficiency of your people in India is incredible! There was always someone to meet us at the appointed time and help us with whatever was needed. We felt really looked after the whole time. Special thanks must go to Mr Singh, our driver in Delhi and Rajastan, and also to Vijay, our 24 hour point of contact who really was exactly that. We had occasion to call him twice, both times I might add when we were in hotels which you had not recommended, to ask if we could be transferred to somewhere else and he sorted it within the hour both times. We should have listened to you in the first place because all the hotels you recommended were superb.

The Lake Palace in Udaipur for our anniversary was really special because you had obviously told the staff that it was our anniversary and they upgraded us to the presidential suite and baked us a cake!  Fantastic. We also loved the Khem Villas in Ranthambore, (where we saw 2 tigers), and would like to go back there to stay for longer one day.

We feel we have leaned so much about India from our guides who were all very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. It was great to be there during the elections and learn a bit about today's politics.

Anyway, thanks again for all your help. We are now considering going to Russia in February for my 50th birthday and you can rest assured that if we go it will definitely be with On The Go.

Dear JANET

We arrived back from our holiday 10 days ago., extremely tired after such a  long journey through India. I don't think we realised how vast the country was before we travelled . I could write pages about our time in India, and have probably by now bored all our friends and relatives with our tales. 

We were very impressed with the organisation of the holiday from here,in England and India. We cannot fault the 'meet and greet' people , the guides and the drivers. They were all extremely good and professional.

With the exception of two hotels the Fariyas in Mumbai and the Mansingh Palace in Agra, all hotels were of the highest standard and we enjoyed our stay in them.

Our guide (she told us to call her Vicki) came to our aid when we needed help. Our stay in Shahpura Bagh was fantastic. It was wonderful to be in the home of such a distinguished host!

I would like to thank you for 'putting together' this holiday. I would have no hesitation in recommending you and 'On the Go Tours' to anyone who is interested in travelling to faraway places.

Just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you for all your assistance in arranging our holiday.

My daughter Daniela and i had a fabulous time in India and where delighted we opted for the Shere Khan Trip as we managed to find our Tiger on the last Safari run!

Our guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable, my only disappointment was that we were expecting a smaller group. On the tour till Jaipur we were a group of 26, which was a large ratio to the tour guide and such a number of people delayed us at times.

I certainly would consider using On the Go in the future, Daniela and I are already viewing Vietnam for 2010.

Thanks On The Go Tours for arranging a wonderful tailor made vacation for my husband and me. The 13 days we spent in India were fantastic. We really didn't have to worry about anything -- everything (hotels, local guides, tours, etc) occurred as planned. The hotels were perfect -the right combination of luxury and heritage properties. This was a completely stress free trip. The driver we had for most of our trip ensured we arrived safely each day to our destination. One tip to add to your list for future travelers to India is that at the Mumbai International Airport, foreigners cannot exchange rupees into other currencies at the currency exchange kiosks. The Duty Free Shops do not accept rupees as well. We had to wait until we returned to the U.S. to sell back our remaining rupees at a reduced rate.

We had a wonderful time, the local guides were great, and our driver was fantastic. Thanks for setting this trip up for us.

Bev and I really enjoyed our experience to India, we were so happy with On The Go Travel, they were brilliant, our tour guide was just sensational and we were so lucky to have the best group of people you could ever wish for.  There were eleven of us and we all got on just fabulously, we all cried when we went our own way.  I missed them and our guide and India for a few days after I got home, it was a wonderful experience and I will never forget “Incredible India”.

The Taj Mahal was just incredible and Varanasi was fascinating and I am glad you recommended we went there, one place you have to see to believe!  I know that I have returned home a more humble person and appreciate how lucky we are in Australia……….We will never forget our trip to India it was a special time that we will remember forever.

I cannot recommend On The Go Travel highly enough, from picking us up at the airport to dropping us off again, everything went without a hitch, they were very professional and friendly and very welcoming.

Dear Janet,

How are you ? Did you enjoy your trip to India last month?
We had a fantastic time. Everything went absolutely according to plan, all our contacts arrived spot on time - even the poor driver who met us at Chennai, where we were three hours late!!

We met some wonderful people, both agents and guides. The star of the show was Satysh (?) our driver for the first 12 days. He was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, he knows everyone and everywhere and took us on a few diversions to see special things. All the hotels were good, some better that others, but the ones that stand out were the Travencore Heritage and the Rice Boat.

Very many thanks to you in particular, and all the agents and staff that we saw over there, they all did a great job in making our trip such a success.
I attach a couple of pictures, one of our party with Satysh at Travencore, the other of the TIGER! You can see how well camouflaged he is, we were on elephant back about 10 feet from him.

We would have no hesitation in recommending your services to any of our friends, if we decide to go again we will be right back to you. Meanwhile, do you do trips to Sri Lanka??

On Nov 8th I returned from my two week trip to India.  I just wanted to let you all know that I was absolutely blown away with the country and the people.  I was also extremely impressed with the organisation of On the Go.  In particular I would single out Yusuf, our tour leader for the first week.  He was always courteous and charming, and his knowledge was exceptional.  You have a gem there!  The second week, I travelled with my friend Yvonne Bates, and we had a fabulous time.  Our driver was Bharat (spelling???) who was fantastic.  Totally reliable and an extremely good careful driver.  Our subsequent tour guides were ok, but of course we had been spoilt by Yusuf. 

The hotels were varied - some exceptionally beautiful, and some a little disappointing.  Singh Sons was very ordinary although I do understand the reason for choosing it.  However our hotel in Udaipur was also a let down and I think perhaps you ought to look at changing that.

I would definitely recommend your company to others, and, should the opportunity arise, would not hesitate to travel with you again.

just wanted to let you know that Jane and I had an absolutely brilliant time on our trip, returning home on Saturday.

The whole thing ran without  a hitch. During the first week we were with 12 other travellers with the same Guide (JUSUF) the hotel in Delhi left a little to be desired!  Apparently anything any good is expensive but please look into alternatives.  The Tuctuc drivers around there are pretty sharp and they take you all round the houses to get back to a restaurant just 80 metres away.  However,as we continued there was much improvement in the hotels, the bus was comfortable and Jusuf was absolutely great.  Vastly knowledgeable and proficient. 

During the second week are trip was contracted out to TravelInn.  The driver supplied, Bharat, was firstly a very good driver, but also 100% reliable, a great time keeper, always there when we wanted him and considerate.  He drove us for over 1500 km and we at no time felt vulnerable. We felt like royalty sometimes turning up at the better hotels.  He always greeted us with a smile and we hope we tipped him sufficiently!!  The car was good quality (almost new). Whenever we arrived in a new town there was always a representative there to meet us, if not immediately then they came to find us on the hotel site somewhere.  Then arrangements made for a pick up time the next day or later on the same day as appropriate. 

The quality of the guides there after was always very good. 

Just remains to say that we will not hesitate to use On The Go again in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

Dear Janet,

I can’t believe we have been back two weeks.  Our computers have been down so I have been unable to email and let you know how it went as I promised I would.

In a word – It was INCREDIBLE – Incredible India.

To break it down - The Taj Express – Was an excellent choice for a taste of India.

Satendra was a superb guide. He was very organized but always seemed so relaxed and yet managed to hold everything together. His knowledge was excellent and he always gave very clear, accurate information at every point. Amrik, who got us back to Delhi when Satandra continued on with the smaller group, was also an excellent guide, especially being so young. The hotels were amazing. Whoever chose the hotels did a superb job, everyone so different, yet all very typical of India. In fact when we came to the last hotel I didn’t think we could have bettered the previous ones but we did. I said to Satendra ‘He just kept pulling rabbits out of the hats’ they were so good.

The group as you know were all a lot younger than Bob and I and quite a few of those who had travelled with ‘On The Go’ before and some had other tours booked with you. Everyone had the same opinion as us, that it is a very well run company and they would certainly do other tours with you should the occasion arise. We had absolutely no complaints and heard no complaints from anyone else either. Train travel in India is fantastic – everything runs on time and thanks to your organization we were very well looked after getting on and off at every point.

We enjoyed Amritsar and again our guide was very good. The hotel you chose for us here was Bob’s favourite, the Owners were such gentle spiritual people – perfect place to relax. We were then picked up at Ambala and driven to Shimla for the next eight days for which we didn’t have a guide but again we did not have to worry about a thing. Each person gave very clear instructions for the following part of our trip and at all times we were picked up on time by a friendly and courteous guide. The hotels in Shimla had been a dream of mine for many years and they did not disappoint. We spent the time here relaxing, walking and generally enjoying the natural beauty.

Back to Delhi where the Raddison at Noida was again an excellent choice – close to large shopping centers and also the convention we went to was easily accessed. India was an experience we will never forget. Thank you for all of your work in making the whole trip the success that it was, in fact Bob and I think it was one of the best holidays we have ever had.

Wanted to thank you (well your company) for a super trip to India.  I was apprehensive I have to say as I had never heard of your company and nor had anyone else I spoke to before I booked.  I was able to have a very direct comparison between two companies because, as you know, I did a trip with another company first and then yours. The contrast between the two was significant.  I learned more about India, its customs, its culture, its people, its way of life, its structures, its quirks etc in three days with Satendra than in just over two week on the other trip.  Yes I saw some fantastic sights on the other trip but came away thinking what on earth I gleened about India itself. 

We had a fantastic little group in the main and I know that was a bonus and whilst we all got on, the trip was made by the tour leader and of course his support crew, drivers, meeters and greeters, helpers. They were all great.

Satendra gave us so many precious moments. There were great sites and for me, even more spectacular and awesome than I anticipated and experiences too numerous to mention and quite unexpected, joining in wedding celebrations in Jaipur, into restaurant kitchens, the bathing at full moon in Orchha, the game drive to Panna, the village walks etc etc.  He went out of his way to find out what was going on and this was often well beyond what one would normally expect e.g. organising for two of us (mad as we were) to go to see the sun rise over the Taj.  He was also great when it came to food, helping out those of us who were not keen on hot spicy and those who wanted spice and hot and the ones in between.  He also had such a wicked sense of humour and most of us really appreciated it and how patient he was when people were indecisive or needed help and support. 

Satendra was enthusiastic and very caring and really added that 'wow' factor, something which is hard to describe but comes from someone who is not only passionate about their country but also their job and take a great pride in sharing knowledge etc with others. Rare and so seldom found in many leaders.

I know that a small group is often easier to manage more personally than a larger one, but he was such a professional I am sure than whatever the group they would all feel that had equal value. It is a true professional who can make each member of the group feel they got something extra and not to feel they are just one of a number.

A great big thank you.  I am just wondering where in India my next trip will take me and had I not travelled with you, I am not sure I would be going back.

We returned from our trip to India last evening and I just wanted to tell you what an absolutely fantastic time we had.

I must especially comment on how extremely well organized the entire trip was managed. Everyone was exactly where they were supposed to be and when they were supposed to be there. It was amazing. Everyone was so professional and helpful. The city guides were wonderful. While always a few really stand out as "outstanding", everyone was at least "very good".

We are so glad we went to Haridwar. While a long journey, the ride was interesting and the two cities captivating. The Arti ceremony was very special and we received our own personal blessing with prayers and hand/feet washing in the Ganges. A good way to start the journey!

Varanasi was unbelievably wonderful and the sunrise boat ride on the Ganges was the highlight of the entire trip. (though there were constant WOW's throughout!)

We loved every city we visited and we would not have cut out anything. I can't tell you in words just how much we enjoyed the sites. Fabulous!!

Many thanks for a wonderful trip. While we hated to see it end, we are ready for a hamburger!!!
