Ranthambhore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. Sprawling across an area of some 1334 sq. kms, the park boasts an impressive 10th century fort. In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer and a variety of birds. Tiger spottings are more common in the morning or late afternoon. You’ll venture on 4 exciting game drives over days 3 and 4 in shared jeeps or Canters.
Overnight - Ranthambhore NP (B:3, L:3, D:3)
Ranthambhore - Bharatpur. After a morning game drive you’ll board the train for Bharatpur - home to Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Rated as one of the finest bird reserves in the world, over 350 species of birds have been identified at the park. A prime time to visit is from October to late February when myriad migratory birds such as the rare Siberian crane can be viewed. During your visit, consider walking or hiring a bicycle rickshaw.

Bharatpur - Umaria (via Agra). En route to Umaria, a stop is made at Agra. Once the Mughal capital of India, Agra is home to the legendary Taj Mahal. From Agra, you’ll later board the train to Umaria. Overnight - Train (B)

This is the land that Kipling wrote so vividly about in his literary classic ‘Jungle Book’. Kanha National Park has a tremendous variety of wildlife - including the Bengal tiger, leopard, sambar, chital, blackbuck, gaur, swamp deer and jackal. On days 11 and 12 enjoy 4 game drives in shared jeeps or Canters.

| There are very few places where the rare and enigmatic tiger can still be glimpsed in the wild, stalking through dense forest and undergrowth, a solitary predator with no natural enemies, save one. Go in search of tigers at some of the best wildlife parks in central India, Nepal and Siberia. |
| One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and an enduring Indian icon, the elegant structure known as the Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who sadly died in 1631, giving birth to their 14th child. In her dying breath, Mumtaz Mahal urged Shah Jahan to build a mausoleum for her, more beautiful than any the world had ever seen. In 1632 building began on the world’s greatest monument to love, which, even today, undoubtedly has no peer. In order to ensure the perfection of the Taj Mahal could not be replicated anywhere else on earth, the artisans and workers who created it, are said to have later had their hands or thumbs amputated. |

Here's what some of our past travellers have written in to us and said about their experiences on this trip.
Hi Janet
I just wanted to let you know what a brilliant holiday we have just had. The organisation could not have been better. I would just like to thank you and all the people involved (the reps; the people at the game parks and the guides) you all contributed to a fantastic holiday.
Many thanks.
