Day 1: Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Delhi

Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganized chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 3: Delhi - Udaipur

Free day to further explore at leisure. This evening you travel on the Mewar Express Train to Udaipur. (Dep:19:05 Arr:-07:20+1)

Day 4: Udaipur

Arriving into Udaipur train station our team will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a little while to settle in we head out to enjoy a ride in an auto rickshaw through the narrow lanes of Udaipur. This evening we will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 5: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. We then take you to visit Jagdish Temple and Sahelion ki bari followed by a camel ride. This evening we drive half hour to the Monsoon Palace to witness sunset and experience the magic atmosphere at twilight.

Day 6: Udaipur - Ranthambhore NP

Today we have interesting 6 hour drive through varied scenery to Ranthambore National Park. Arriving at the lodge we check in and the evening is free to relax and dine.


Days 7-8: Ranthambhore NP

For today and tomorrow enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.

Day 9: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur

After our final game drive this morning we drive to Jaipur around 3-4 hours. On arrival you check in then free time.

Day 10: Jaipur

Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.

Day 11: Jaipur - Agra

After breakfast we depart en route to Agra we visit the ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned due to lack of water. Arrive in Agra and you will check in. This evening enjoy a guided tour and free time to see the Taj Mahal over a golden sunset.

Day 12: Agra - Delhi

This morning we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! After return to Delhi by road. Check in - Free evening.

Day 13: Delhi - Kalimpong

This morning you fly to Bagdogra.Arrival and from here, a drive to Kalimpong - a remote hill station set among the rolling foothills and deep valleys of the stunning Himalayas.

Day 14: Kalimpong

Kalimpong’s attractions include three monasteries including Tharpa Choeling, Tongsa and Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang, a handful of ancient churches and a colourful bazaar area known as Tenth Mile bulging with Tibetan and Buddhist curios and handicrafts all of which we see today on our guided tour.

Day 15: Kalimpong - Darjeeling

Today we drive to Darjeeling via Peshok road (56Kms, 4500ft). We first visit Durpindara hilltop for a great panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga and Kalimpong town. The road then passes through some of the best located tea gardens in the region and passes through the Rangit valley. Arrive Darjeeling, check into your hotel.

Day 16: Darjeeling

Enjoy a drive to Tiger Hill to witness sunrise over the snowy peaks of Kanchenjunga; followed by a visit to Ghoom Gompa (monastery), sightseeing back in town and a visit to a real tea estate.

Day 17: Darjeeling

Enjoy a free day to explore go for a walk visit other tea estates or simply relax.

Day 18: Darjeeling - Kochi

This morning we return to Bagdogra airport for your flight to Kochi VIA DELHI. Arriving into Kochi we collect you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 19: Kochi

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the town including the beautiful Parsi Synagogue built in 1568, the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 and St Francis’ Church. A walking tour of Fort Cochin takes you through streets still graced with traces of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial architecture. After we drive to Munnar.

Day 20: Kochi - Munnar

The tea plantations of Munnar offer a striking scope of the Western Ghats, Munnar is essentially a tea town which becomes obvious upon approach to Munnar as tea gardens cover the hillsides for miles. This afternoon we visit Raja Malai - the highest peak of Munnar, where you might be lucky to see Neel Thar or mountain goats. Then we explore Munnar’s tea estates and the tea museum.

Day 21: Munnar

We travel to Club Mahindra for an adventurous jeep safari in the Kolukumalai Hills to visit a tea factory and learn more about the industry. Later we visit the Eravikulam National Park and Mattupetty Dam if time permits.

Day 22: Munnar - Kovalam

Today we transfer to Kovalam a lovely beach location. Arrival and check into your hotel.

The hotel has a great Ayurvedic treatment centre that you can pay for treatments today alternately sit back and relax and enjoy the beach.

This morning you can fly to Mumbai or Delhi to catch your later connection flight home.
