Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a stark contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City, both are equally appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation bazaars of Chandni Chowk and more. We visit the Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and Lutyens building and more during our tour of New Delhi.
Spend the day at leisure exploring Delhi. Later this afternoon we'll transfer you to the train station to catch the 18.35 air conditioned sleeper train to Varanasi.
This morning we arrive Varanasi at 0700 and we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Varanasi is guaranteed to make an impression. The city of 1,027,000 is the holiest site in India and thousands of Hindu pilgrims tour its temples and bathe in the Ganges River to gain religious merit. Thousands more go to die and have their ashes thrown into the holy waters. Later we will take you on a city tour.
This morning enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). This afternoon enjoy an excursion to Sarnath. In the evening we'll transfer you to Mughal Sarai train station to catch the 22.30 overnight sleeper train to Tundla.
Upon arrival at 07.03 we will meet and transfer you to Agra. Today we enjoy a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal. Here you will enjoy free time to explore and also a guided explanation of the worlds most famous monument to love. Later, we visit Agra Fort which, during its time has been a military structure, a palace and a prison!
This morning we will transfer you to Bharatpur Railway Station for the train to Sawai Madhpur for Ranthambhore. Train number 2904-GT Mail departs at 1045 and arrives at 1305. Arrive Ranthambhore and we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your accomodation. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the national park in a shared jeep.
Ranthambhore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. Sprawling across an area of some 1334 sq. kms, the park boasts an impressive 10th century fort. In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer and a variety of birds. Tiger spottings are more common in the morning or late afternoon. Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in the Park in a shared Jeep or Canter.

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Today we drive you from Jaipur to Jodphur and transfer you to your hotel.
Today we will enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. In the old city you will find a tangle of streets, alley ways and bazaars. Standing at the edge of the Thar Desert, the city is dominated by its massive fort, which sits atop a sheer rocky ridge right in the middle of the town. Meherangarh Fort, still run by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, is an impressive sight. This afternoon we drive you to Osian where you will embark upon an amazing camel safari in the Thar desert and camp overnight.
Today we drive to Deogargh where after hotel check in, you can spend the afternoon at leisure.
Today we drive to the romantic city of Udaipur. Misty ochre shadowed hills and pale intricate buildings encircle the mirror glass of Lake Pichola and the mythical Lake Palace sitting at its centre. Udaipur is also a centre for performing arts, painting and crafts.
This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. You will also have some free time to explore the palace or perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani arts and crafts before your evening tranquil boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Sun, sea and relaxation beckons! We transfer you to the airport to catch the 08.20 flight to Mumbai, arriving 09.35 to connect with the 11.55 flight to Trivandrum. Upon arrival at 13.50 we will be there to meet and transfer you to your hotel in Kovalam.
