Day 1: Pune - Jaipur
Today we collect you from your hotel and ransfer you to Pune airport for the 06:15 am flight to Jaipur (flight transits in Delhi) Arrive Jaipur at 10:10 am enjoy the day to relax and explore jaipur at leisure.
Day 2: Jaipur
This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style atop an elephant! Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. Rest of the evening is free and at your leisure.
Day 3: Jaipur - Agra
Departing by car we drive to Agra. En-route we visit the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area. As the Taj will be closed tommorow we visit this evening with your guide.
Day 4: Agra - Old Delhi
Today we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. Later we depart for Delhi where upon arrival we assist with your hotel check-in.
Day 5: Old Delhi
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights will be the Red fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Day 6: Old Delhi - Shimla
Enjoy a free day to explore. Tonight we travel by sleeper train at 23:40 pm to Kalka.
Day 7: Shimla
Arrive Kalka at 05:00 am and here you transfer to the famous scenic ride on the Toy train destined for Shimla. Arrive Shimla and we transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day to explore at leisure.
Day 8: Shimla
Today enjoy a full day touring with our local guide. Highlights will include The Jahku Temple, Viceregal Lodge & State Museum.
Days 9-10: Shimla
For today and tommorow enjoy time to relax and enjoy Shimla perhaps wondering in the nearby hills or enjoying your hotel.
Day 11: Shimla - Old Delhi
Today we drive to Kalka for the 17:30 pm train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi 21:45 pm and we transfer you to your hotel.
