Early morning train to Agra (approx 06:10/08:00) – Day at leisure after arrival.
After breakfast we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the national park. Ranthambore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. The forests around the Ranthambore Fort were once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur.
After a final early morning game drive for a final spot of wildlife viewing, we will drive you to Jaipur. This walled Rajasthani capital is famous for the unusual rose-colored sandstone architecture that gives the city its nickname, the Pink City. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to you hotel. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride (suject to availability) transports us to the lofty fort, where you will enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon you tour the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Drive to Nimaj and where we will have plenty of free time to explore the beautiful rural surroundings.
A short drive onto Rawal Jojawar in the beautiful Aravali Hills. Remainder of today at leisure.
Visit Korta Farm, a remote hideaway in rural Rajasthan. Enjoy free time today and tomorrow to explore the village and surrounding areas.
Driving onto Udaipur today, en-route we will visit Ranakpur Jain Temples. Remainder of today at leisure.
A sightseeing tour of the city this morning, including the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-bari. In the evening, you will have a boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Day at leisure to explore Udaipur. This evening we board our overnight train to Delhi (approx 18:30/06:15).
After hotel check in and time to freshen up, we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, India Gate, Janpath Bazaar, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Today we bid farewell to India. Transfer to Delhi International Airport for our flight back home.
