Day 1: Amman

Welcome to Jordan and the start of your holiday! Arrive into Amman and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Amman

This morning we visit Jerash, the world’s best-preserved Roman provincial city, built over 2,000 years ago. Here we visit the Forum, the arena, where the chariot wheel tracks can still be seen, the Temple of Artemis and the South Theatre. We continue to Umm Qais, a dramatic black-basalt Roman city with panoramic views over the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3: Amman - Petra

Today, we tour the citadel, Archaeological Museum and enjoy free time in the local souq. We then have time for a dip in the Dead Sea before we head down to Petra.

Day 4: Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the Treasury. We’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings.

Day 5: Petra - Jerusalem

This morning you’ll be picked up at 9:00am and transferred to the Jordanian border where after immigration formalities you will transfer by public shuttle bus over the border into Israel, here you’ll be met by a driver and escorted to your hotel in Jerusalem. Later today we visit Bethlehem, Rachel’s tomb Church of Nativity and Manger’s square. Return to Jerusalem hotel.

Day 6: Jerusalem - Madaba

This morning we drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Enter the Old City through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. We visit the Jewish Wailing Wall, and continue to the Christian quarter and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We then transfer you to the border and to the hotel in Madaba (which is closer to Amman airport than Amman itself).

Day 7: Madaba - Alexandria

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Alexandria at 08:15 and arriving into Alexandria at 09:45. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. Today we head out to the small Coastal Village of El Alamein - famous for the scene of a decisive Allied victory in WWII.

Day 8: Alexandria

After breakfast today we enjoy our in-depth tour of Alexandria. Highlights include the Catacombs at Kom El Shoukafa and nearby Roman Ruins, Pompey's Pillar, Fort Qaitbay, Alexandria National Library and Montazah Palace Gardens. We will then transfer you to Cairo and to the airport in time for your flight leaving at 19:00.
