Day 1: Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel close to the medina. Spend the remains of the day at leisure. A possibility to go out and see the famous Djemaa el Fna Square in the evening. Snake charmers orange juice sellers, food stalls and story tellers all inhabit the square, and provide entertainment for the whole evening.
Day 2: Marrakech
Spend the morning with the Marrakech town guide to get an overview of this wonderful city and its bustling souks. Stretching over the medieval part of Marrakech, the souks are winding streets of stalls and small businesses. Interspersed are palaces, madrassa (Qur'anic schools) and many cafes and restaurants. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the Marrakech at your own speed. Perhaps visit Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs or take a Caleche (horse drawn carriage) ride to the Jardins de Majorelle. This evening consider visiting the Hivernage with its upmarket cafes. Day 3: Marrakech
This morning depart across the plain of haouz and into the rugged High Atlas mountains where you can admire the views en route to the famous UNESCO Listed kasbah of Ait benhaddou, which is situated in Souss-Massa-Draa on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. Films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and more recently, Gladiator were all filmed at Ait Benhaddou, which was once a significant stop for traders carrying gold, salt and slaves along the famous Southern Caravan route moving through the Sahara. After exploring this wonderful site, journey back to Marrakech. Overnight - Aquarelle Riad
Day 4: Marrakech - Essaouira
This morning we transfer you to Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Here you have the afternoon to enjoy the harbour, beaches and medina. Time at leisure. Overnight - Aquarelle Riad
Day 5: Essaouira - Marrakech
Free morning in Essaouira and then transfer you back to Marrakech for the evening. Overnight - Hotel Miramar
Day 6: Marrakech
Transfer to Casablanca airport in the morning or afternoon depending on the flight time you have. Overnight - Aquarelle Riad
