We visit Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified city, with beautiful examples of Kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited today. It has been the setting for many films including Gladiator.

Day 9: Fes

Today we visit the Roman city of Volubilis, a world heritage site dating back to AD40, this ancient city once ruled the whole Roman province of Mauritania. Enough remains to remind us of just how thoroughly the Romans equipped their great provincial capitals and is an invitation to travel in time. We also visit the town of Moulay Idriss.

Day 10: Fes - Tangier

Today we transfer to Tangier. The history of Tangier is very rich due to the historical presence of many civilizations and cultures starting from the 5th century BC. The wide boulevards of the French-built new town sprawl out around the medina, with the port to its east. The Grand Socco (old market square), connects the old and new. The gate to the medina near the Great Mosque is one of the more popular, as it connects directly to the beach walk. It is also the easiest entry to the most fascinating parts of the old parts of Tangier, and you will immediately find yourself walking in narrow streets which soon ends up in the Petit Socco.

Day 11: Tangier

We bid you farewell today and transfer you to the port after breakfast for your onward journey.
