Day 1: Lima Welcome to Peru and the start of your adventure. Arrive at any time today, transfer to your hotel and this evening we will host a welcome meeting. Overnight – Lima.
Day 2: Puno Flying to Juliaca and then a short bus ride to Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. If we are fortunate, one of the numerous fiestas will be in progress and you’ll be able to join the celebrations. Alternatively, head to the markets to witness traditionally dressed woman selling quality alpaca goods. Overnight - Puno.
Days 3 & 4: Lake Titicaca This morning we head by boat to Taquile Island for lunch, before arriving at Amantani Island where we will spend the night in the homes of the local islanders. |

Observe the traditional culture of these people or just soak up the atmosphere and spectacular scenery of the island, after the day trippers disappear. Enroute to Puno, we take time to visit Uros Floating Islands where life is dependent on the native Totora Reed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight (1) - Amantani Island, overnight (1) - Puno.

Day 5: Cuzco
Witness some spectacular scenery as we travel through the Altiplano from Puno to Cuzco. Arriving in Cuzco towards evening, tonight is free to take in the cafés and bars of this vibrant city! Overnight - Cuzco.
Day 6: Ollantaytambo
Touring the Sacred Valley we visit the soaring Inca bastions of both Pisac and Ollantaytambo and on market days, the local artisan markets before settling in the village of Ollantayambo for the night. Overnight - Ollantaytambo.
Days 7 - 9: Inca Trail
Arriving at km82, we begin our ascent of the Inca Trail – a challenging 42km trek which reaches a maximum altitude of 4200m. Be prepared for this tough trail and if you’re moderately fit, it will be achievable. We stop frequently to investigate the many ruins along the route, as well as pausing to take in the spectacular views which greet us along the way. Day 10: Machu Picchu
Waking early, we climb the steps to the Sun Gate prior to dawn, and reach the ruins at sunrise. After a tour of the site, the remainder of the day is free to explore, before taking the evening train back to Cuzco. Overnight – Cuzco.

Day 11: Cuzco
The day is free so don some walking shoes and grab a map - it is worth walking the streets of Cuzco close to the breathtaking Plaza des Arms to see further examples of the amazing Inca architecture, still in use today. Overnight - Cuzco
Days 12 & 13: Amazon Jungle
Fly from Cuzco to Puerto Maldonado before travelling by motorised canoe to our rainforest lodge. Experience and explore the jungle, watching for a myriad of animal and plant life including parrots, frogs, butterflies, and otters amongst others. The local naturalist guides will certainly add to your experience in this amazing eco-system and for the interested, demonstrate traditional techniques for building and fishing. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight (2) - Jungle Lodge.
Day 14: Lima
Retracing our route to Puerto Maldonado, before flying to Lima and your last evening in Peru. Overnight - Lima.
Day 15: Lima
Tour ends today, an ideal opportunity to pick up a few souvenirs or further explore the city.
