Day 1: Colombo

Welcome to Colombo and the start of your Asian adventure. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Colombo.

Day 2: Colombo - Sigiriya

Leaving Colombo for Sigiriya – En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed. Also could accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their daily bath. Overnight Sigiriya.

Day 3: Sigiriya

This morning you will climb The ‘Lion Rock’ which is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster. This afternoon enjoy on a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Overnight Sigiriya.

Days 4-5: Sigiriya - Trincomalee

Travelling to the seaside town of Trincomalee. Here after check in enjoy the rest of today and all of tomorrow at your leisure. Overnight Trincomalee.

Day 6: Trincomalee - Kandy

Leaving the beauty of Trincomalee for Kandy you will visit the Dambulla Cave En route. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and the ceiling is the largest area of paintings found in the world. These caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock spanning 14 meters. Also visit a spice garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. Overnight Kandy.

Day 7: Kandy

Today enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Kandy. First off visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Later tour of Kandy itself. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king. Visit the town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Overnight Kandy.

Day 8: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

En route to Nuwara Eliya today visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. On completion, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world’s best tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala is located here. This evening take a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya and drive through "Little England” Overnight Nuwara Eliya.

Day 9: Nuwara Eliya

Morning visit Horton Plains, The coldest and windiest location in Sri Lanka consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, Horton Plains spreads across over 3,169 hectares of the highest tableland of the island. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species. The escarpment with a depth of 900 meters called World’s End and Baker’s Falls are the highlights of the Horton Plains. Overnight Nuwara Eliya.

Day 10: Nuwara Eliya - Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

Uda-Walawe Is your next destination – This evening enjoy a Jeep Safari to visit the Uda-Walawe National Park. The Park is the most reliable place to see elephants in their wild habitat year round. This variety in habitat makes for a rich variety of wildlife and game. As well as elephants, leopards live in the park (though you will be very lucky to spot one), toque monkeys, grey langur, spotted deer, wild pig and sambar. Overnight Uda-Walwe

Day 11: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya - Yala National Park

Transferring to Yala continue your safari with an Evening Jeep Safari to visit the Yala National Park - This park is famous for its high density of leopards, perhaps the highest in the world. Sloth bears are also a big draw. As is common in Sri Lanka there is a huge diversity of stunning birdlife including migratory species such as the flamingo. The uniqueness of the park is the sheer diversity of the habitat: dense jungles suddenly give way to lagoons and open plain areas and the park has a simply beautiful sea front. Overnight Yala

Day 12: Yala National Park

YALA / MIRISSA After Breakfast leave for Mirissa. Upon arrival enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Mirissa - Ceck in at Mandara Resort 4* - (Standard Room)

Day 13: - Kalutara

An early morning to the Whale Watching Center for a Whale watching expedition. This would take approximately up to 03 to 3 ½ Hours. On completion leave for Kalutara – En route visit the Galle Dutch Fort - The Galle fort was built first by the Portuguese, and then modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Even today, after 400 years of existence, it looks new and polished. Today Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. Overnight Kalutara.

Day 14: Kalutara

Enjoy today on your own at your leisure relaxing by this seaside town. Overnigth Kalutara
