Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Enjoy an arrival transfer to our hotel, where you sit back and relax after your long flight.
This morning, We explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city. We also visit the Temple of Heaven.
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors.
Today, we visit Silk Alley markets and the beautiful Summer Palace. Tonight, we travel to Beijing rail station for our journey to Xi’an in Shaanxi Province.
Arrive Xi’an train station this morning and we collect you and transfer you to your hotel for breakfast. Before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.
Today, we visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter. Encircling the old city is Xi’an’s medieval City Wall, where youc an enjoy a hired bike ride. Later we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Harbin. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Today we visit Sun Island Park for the Harbin Ice Festival. Carvers will still be adding final touches to their masterpieces. The range and details on the ice structures are quite incredible. We also visit Zhaolin Park to further view the creations. Tonight you enjoy a hot pot dinner.
We will see more of the stunning cultures at the Harbin Ice and Snow World, with buildings, creatures and lanterns, even the Pyramids and the Great Wall. We will then transfer you to the train station for the overnight train to Beijing.
Arrival Beijing train station and you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for you onward departing flight.
