I teach my kids that money doesn't buy happiness.... but it gets you to the head of the line . We were very very happy to go to the head of the line be whisked inside as hundreds of people were waiting two hours to get in .Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and be treated like King Louie Our Guide Rubin was very personable and knowledgeable and did a great job on the tour providing interesting and amusing tidbits about the history and the bios of the people who lived here We did the garden add on which was also as amazing as well do it you will enjoy it We were very lucky to have Rubin and our only disappointment of the day was to notice how many cheapskates were in our group who were to tight to provide a well deserved tip ..Shame on you tightwads !!! bad karma people!! BTW I get it that Euros and Asians dont think its necessary( BS) but most were Americans Take care of the people who take care of you !!

We took the English speaking tour. We were glad to have Phillip as our guide. He was easy to understand, thorough, and move the tour at a comfortable pace. Versailles is very impressive! We also had Phillip for a garden tour. The garden is large and filled with water features. Glad Phillip showed us the garden highlights.

We had the opportunity to have a couple hour tour inside and then we got to see the garden show which was fabulous. We were lucky to come on a day where all the fountains were functioning. Gabriella was AWESOME!

Our tour guide Gabriella was amazing. She was extremely knowledgable and efficient. She had a good sense of humor too. After our tour we walked to the Petit Trianon which we recommend. We wish we would of signed up for the full day tour including the Trianon. If you decide to stay for the day and walk around rent the golf carts! I wish we had since there is so much to see.

Tour guide was great. We learned a good deal of history and enjoyed seeing the beautiful palace, paintings, sculptures, and gardens. Our guide was very informative and warm. He made the tour even more enjoyable.

We LOVED this tour! Well worth the price alone for the skip the line (which would have been a 4 hour line). Our tour guide, Ruben, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see so much of the palace and the gardens for the 3 hour tour, and then you are free to do as you like; we spent another 3 hours self touring the massive gardens. We were lucky enough to be there on a summer weekend so we got to see the fountains turned on, and with the music. It was so amazing!!! Ruben knew so much about the royals, the castle, what else was happening at that point in history, he really brought the history to life! He answered all of our questions and even took pics for us all in the Hall of Mirrors. We especially loved how Ruben told us about how Louis set up the rooms leading up to the Hall of Mirrors, the hall's significance down to the last detail, and how nobles would have to leave backwards to not be rude! We will forever remember Ruben and this wonderful tour. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Worth every penny, thank you so much!

We enjoyed this. I do recommend getting the garden pass. It is more of a heavily treed area with paths and fountains and not so much a garden, but very nice.

I loved this tour!! Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. It is definitely worth to book the extra tour of the gardens!

Our guide was super friendly and spoke great English. It was completely worth the money and I’m very happy we didn’t do it on our own. Listening to the history was just as interesting as seeing it. The tour, employees and content covered were great. You can spend the rest of day roaming gardens.

We arrived early at the local office and were guided to enter the gardens early. Great advice as we had a great day. Tour guide Gabriel was thoughtful and interesting with commentary throughout the palace wired to our small group.

I have never been on a guided tour before and was a bit sceptical because I do know a lot about Versailles and was going with my best friend we were really delighted with our tour ,however. Our guide Claudia met us dead on time and the tour was great. Claudia explained all about how the Chateau was built in stages but what we really loved were all the little bits of REAL information that really brought it alive. Like the fact that Louis went bald at a very early age due to lead poisoning etc. It really brought the place alive, after all you can read the other stuff in a guide book!! She had a lovely sense of humour and really helped us have an amazing day!! I would recommend to anyone Also Viator kept in touch with emails and text Brilliant

We had the opportunity this week to enjoy a half day tour of the Versailles Palace and Gardens. We were fortunate enough to have Gabriella as our Tour Guide. Gabriella was warm and engaging from the moment she introduced herself. Throughout the two tours she proved to be highly knowledgeable, providing many interesting details and antecdotes about the various features of the Palace and its history. Gabriella was open to all questions asked and without fail answered queries in the most complete and professional manner. The tour was well organized and efficient in terms of how much detail and specifics that Gabriella inserted into the tour given the relatively short timeline. I plan on returning to Versaille to be part of more tours. I certainly will attempt to arrange to be part of any group that Gabriella leads. If you are going to Versailles for the first time be sure to ask that Gabriella be your Tour Guide

What an amazing tour! Our guide was lovely, knowledgeable and accommodating! This tour is worth the cost and it is near a metro line.

Our tour guide Gabriella was outstanding. Her tour was the right mix of history and human interest stories. She showed us the most remarkable fountains in the garden!

It was great! Gabrielle made the visit interesting and ensured we were all included in the tour. She was particularly great with our 12 and 15 year old kids - made the day exciting and filled with fun.

The tour was amazing! Claudia was an incredible guide who knew so many interesting things about Versailles. She was full of energy and kept all of us on track. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. My only feedback was I wish it started earlier (9 or 10). Thank you!

Isabelle was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the information with passion and humor -- making the tour both informative and enjoyable. It was a blazing hot day -- and Isabelle never missed a beat -- and went out of her way to encourage us and keep us energized around the thrilling history of Versaiiles. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Excellent and professional tour guide who made sure we saw all the best bits of the Palace currently open. In the gardens the fountains were amazing especially with the musical accompaniment. The only downside was having to wait for latecomers which is very selfish and rude on their part - no reflection on the tour company or guide.

We arrived 15 minutes late for our reservation our fault-trains are hard when you know little French and thought the whole day of plans would be ruined because of it. The tour group had departed to begin already and we were told we'd have to return hours later to catch another tour. However, I believe her name was Caroline, came to the rescue along with our tour guide Gabriella, who cut her lunch break short to take the three of us because she has such a passion for what she does that she didn't mind taking extra tour time to show us around. I had no idea what to expect from the tour because I've always been the kind of person who reads up on things and visits by walking around listening to audio guides or reading from my phone as I go. Versailles is not one of those places and can easily be overwhelming to tackle on your own. The tour gave us an insider look into what we were seeing and the VIP access of skipping past tons of people in line. I couldn't be happier that Gabriella was there to show us all around Versailles revealing secrets about each room and statue in the gardens. She made us feel as though we'd been transported back to that time and were experiencing the palace and gardens through the perspective of the royals themselves. While we should have been in a tour group of 30, we ended up being 5 after collecting a couple of ladies who got separated from their original group. If you have the option, pay a bit extra to do a smaller tour group as it makes the entire experience so charming and intimate. Gabriella, I hope you read this because I'm weeks back from my trip and still raving about your tour and how amazing you are. It was such a pleasure to meet you. You have left a lasting impression on me and have inspired me to learn more and more about the places I visit. -Katie Also, Angela and Rick

Great tour - well worth the cost. Very knowledgeable guide who also, given the crowds, made sure that we saw the best of the palace., Also very well organised.
