Welcome to Udaipur! Upon arrival we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Today we will enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola, plus touring of the imposing City Palace, not to mention free time to explore independantly and perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani souvenirs and Indian spices.
Today we travel to a lovely small town situated between Jaipur and Udaipur which is around a three hour drive away. It is a walled town, founded in 1629 and was named after the famous Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The area itself is beautiful countryside as well as vast forest and cool and refreshing lakes. It is very much an unspoilt and untouched area, a far cry from large parts of modern India.
Enjoy a morning of leisure to further explore before we drive our final leg around four hours to Jaipur. This remainder of the day is at your leisure.
This morning, we travel beyond Jaipur to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride transports us to the lofty fort, where we’ll enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
Today we have a 3-4 hour drive to Ranthambhore National Park. We check-in, freshen up and then venture out for an evening game drive. Ranthambhore NP is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan.
Over the next 2 days we enjoy both morning and evening game drives with some time to relax during the day.
We travel to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. Enroute we will visit the haunting Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri.
Early this morning we visit the legendary Taj Mahal and witness a magical sunrise! We also visit the impressive Agra Fort, which boasts some of India's finest Mughal buildings behind it's fortified walls and later the Baby Taj. You will be then transferred onto the train station to catch the Shtabadi train in Executive Class to Delhi departing at 20:35. Upon arrival at approx. 22:45 we will transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Today we embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and also visit Qutab Minar.
