Day 1: St Petersburg

Welcome to Russia and the start of your journey through the Iron Curtain! Arriving at the airport our local rep will collect you and escort you to your hotel. After Lunch we take you to Nevsky Prospekt. There you will see some of the most interesting architectural monuments including the Kazan Cathedral and the Winter Palace. After, to Vasilevsky Island this island juts out into the Gulf of Finland. The tour will include a visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress - a symbol of St. Petersburg. While there, you will visit Peter and Paul Cathedral, the burial place of the Russian Tsars from Peter the Great onward and have your dinner in the restaurant and finally come back to hotel.

Day 2: St Petersburg

Morning visit to Pushkin (formerly Tsarskoye Selo). Here, you see the Palace and Park of Tsarskoye Selo which is a former country residence of the Russian emperors. It is a fascinating monument of the world´s architectural and gardening arts of the XVIII-XIX centuries. Its After lunch, we visit Catherine Palace. The lavish Palace is adorned with a stunning peacock blue Baroque exterior and incredible Amber Room. In the afternoon, we will visit to the Imperial suburb of Pavlovsk. Built in the late XVIII and early XIX centuries, the palace and park was used as a summer residence for Emperor Paul I and his family.

Day 3: St Petersburg

This morning visit the opulent Winter Palace. Once the royal residence of the Tsars, the palace is now home to the Hermitage Museum, which has one of the biggest art collections on earth! This afternoon touring will include a visit to the gardens of Peter the Great’s palatial Peterhof which overlooks the Gulf of Finland.

Day 4: St Petersburg - Moscow

Enjoy the morning at your leisure. This afternoon you will transfer to the station to catch the Sapsan high speed train to Moscow DEP-13:30 ARR:-17:40. On arrival in Moscow you will be met by our friendly representative who will escort you by mini bus for tour. Our professional guide will escort you on a route that includes Vorobyevi Hills where you will get an incredible view of the city from an observation point, Moscow State University which is an example of architecture from the time of Stalin, then on to Novodevichiy Convent, the Diplomatic Village, Victory Park, the Triumphal Arch, Kutuzovsky.

Day 5: Moscow

Today enjoy a guided tour of Moscow’s most famous sites - in Red Square see the beautiful St. Basil’s Cathedral, with its wildly colourful turban shaped domes, wander around the historic GUM department store and if open, pay your respects to Lenin at the mausoleum. This afternoon explore the grounds of the mighty Kremlin - Russia’s powerhouse, visit its gold domed cathedrals, Ivan the Great Bell Tower and the Armoury, where you can see incredible jewels and ancient artifacts.

Day 6: Moscow

This morning after rush hour has passed, enjoy an excursion on the Metro why you may ask? So that you can see the stations that pretty much are very opulent Art Galleries we then visit to Old Arbat street, one of Moscow’s oldest streets. Later, take a guided tour of the Tretyakov Gallery, which houses the best examples of Russian fine art in the world, from icons to modern art, including Soviet propaganda paintings. The incredible collection includes more than 130,000 exhibits.

Day 7: Moscow

Sadly your journey comes to an end today, we will transfer you to the airport in Moscow for your flight home.
