Day 2

Pyramids of Giza

Discover Egypt’s main attraction today as we visit the incredible Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. The largest of the pyramids, Cheops, was the tallest man-made building on Earth for 3,800 years. Experts still can’t agree how the ancient Egyptians constructed the pyramids with their limited technology - it remains a mystery. A stop will be made at a government supervised papyrus emporium, then we will continue to the necropolis of Saqqara, home to the famous Pyramid of Zhoser. This ancient monument dates back to around 2700BC and is surrounded by countless tombs and burial sites. After our tour, we return to Cairo for the evening.
Overnight: Cairo  |  Breakfast

Day 3

The Grand Egyptian Museum

Cairo - Aswan. Today we visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which houses a giant exhibition containing the treasures of King Tutankhamun. In this incredible 490,000 sq.m complex many of the exhibits are being displayed for the first time and artifacts have been brought together from across Egypt and the world. The museum also makes use of new technology including virtual reality.

After our guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum we head over to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to visit the fascinating Royal Mummies' Hall where the mummies of ancient Egyptian kings and queens are on display. Then there's time to relax back at the hotel before we board the night train to Aswan this evening.

Please Note: the Grand Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open in late 2024, though an official opening date has yet to be released. If travelling prior to the opening of the new facility we'll visit the Egyptian Museum instead.
Overnight: Sleeper Train  |  Breakfast

Day 4

Aswan & the Philae Temple

We arrive in Aswan and visit the beautiful Philae Temple this afternoon. Take a leisurely boat trip to Agilkia Island in the Nile and explore the site, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. Our last stop today is the perfume oil emporium, where the use of essential and perfumed oils in Egypt dates back to 2700BC. Enjoy free time this evening to explore Aswan’s vibrant market and shop in the bustling souqs.
Overnight: Aswan  |  Breakfast

Day 5

Day 7

Luxor & optional visit to Luxor Temple

Luxor - Cairo. Today we visit the famous Valley of the Kings to explore some of the lavishly decorated tombs of important pharaohs. Our tour will also take us to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the giant Colossi of Memnon. Admire these two towering statues of King Amenhotep III before we continue to Karnak Temple this afternoon. Stroll down the Avenue of Sphinxes and marvel at the towering pillars of Hypostyle Hall as we explore this gigantic complex. The site took more than 1,500 years to complete and around 30 different pharaohs contributed to it in some way. This evening, we board the night train and return to Cairo.

KI want to thank you very much for a fantastic and well organised tour which I did last April in Egypt.

A tour of this sort needs lot of planning. And Congratulations you did well!!

The staff of all 3 Hotels , the Cruise ship and those with transportation did a great job of making sure that we are safe And comfortable.

The food was fantastic and I’m sure we all enjoyed it.

The train ride was alright but most of us were not happy about the toilet facilities on the train.

Coming to the best part of my letter of appreciation, is about our tour guide,

Mr. Aamer Ibrahim. “He is The Best”!!

Our whole tour was made better by this experienced and friendly guy who provided us with all the information about the places and enlightened us on the history and culture of the region.

His thorough knowledge, his enthusiasm and his pleasant manner is truly admirable.

His patience in listening to all our problems is incredible. Especially when my luggage got delayed he was trying every possible way to get it for me.Thank you so much Aamer! You are a true brother.

Lastly I like to mention that I have already started promoting this Tour to my friends in this part of the world.

What an amazing trip! I had such a rich and enjoyable visit to Egypt with a great bunch of fellow travellers. So many iconic sights were visited and our enthusiastic tour guide, Medo, was so informative about the history of each. The organisation of the whole trip was faultless and enabled our group to enjoy everything to the fullest without worrying about, transport, checking in, entry to venues, tickets, local information, places to eat, safety, etc. Despite being a solo traveller there was no problem fitting in with the group, and the arrangement of travelling and dining together made it easy to get to know everyone. The cruise was particularly enjoyable, and having the free day mid way through the trip was a wonderful way to relax while sailing along the Nile. Thoroughly recommended and thanks again to Medo for making it so special.

The tour was fantastic - excellently laid out with plenty of historical sites visited! What made the trip was our tour guide Sherif. He was very knowledgeable, professional and humorous! Greatly enjoyed learning a new Egyptian card game from him as well during our felucca cruise.

I would most definitely recommend this tour for anyone - whether they know a little or a lot already about Egyptian history before going in the tour, they are guaranteed to learn many new things and have a wonderful time! Also, Sherif is the tour guide you want!

Best guided trip I have ever been on! A great balance of information and fun on this trip. Basically had a private tour with all the sites being almost empty.

Food was amazing and felt very immersed into Egyptian culture. So many sites with so much information to attain.

Came with an empty cup of knowledge and left wanting more. Will be talking about this trip for years and Sherif was amazing and so much fun to be with for the trip! Eyewuh(no idea how to spell yes) I’ll be back! Inshalah!!!

I have just returned from my tour with On The Go and it was an amazing trip! From arriving at the airport and meeting the OTG representative, everything was well organised and hassle free.

Our tour guide was Amir. He is awesome!! From the beginning he was so friendly and enthusiastic about showing us around Egypt, giving us loads of information at each place and time to explore ourselves. Learnt so much from him about this fascinating place, and he was always happy to answer more questions.

The trip itself was amazing. There's lots of travelling on this trip, but it's really not too bad, and the sights you see when you get to where you are going are worth it. I'm not a big fan of boats, but the Felluca ride across the Nile was pretty fun too.

On the first day I also did the optional tour of Cairo with Ahmed Helal - another excellent guide from OTG. It's worth doing this add on as you don't spend much time in Cairo, and you go to three very different places.

I'm so glad that I decided to do this trip. It was just ace.  If you're thinking about it too, you should probably just book it. And hopefully you get Amir as your guide.

Egypt was a trip of a lifetime. Our guide, Momo, exceeded my expectations. His wealth of knowledge of Egypt and it’s people was fantastic. Everything from the Sphinx, Abu Simbel, museums, Kom Ombo, Valley of the Kings & the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, we’re incredible. The Egyptian people were so happy to see tourists finally visiting their country and so humble. Did we feel safe? Absolutely!!! From the time we reached our hotel to the time we departed Egypt, it was never a question or an issue. I would highly recommend a trip to Egypt.
