We head on to Madaba, the most important Christian centre in Jordan and we visit the Archeological Park and St George's Church. We learn to make a mosaic at a local workshop.
We depart in the morning, driving along the Dead Sea’s eastern shoreline and then up to tour the Karak Crusader Castle. The magnificent Crusader fortress of Karak - Crak des Moabites, or Le Pierre du Desert to Crusaders - soars above its valleys and hills like a great ship riding waves of rock. We continue on to Dana Nature Reserve and have free time in the afternoon.
This morning we have included for you a RSCN Guide who will take you out on a hike in the wilds of Jordan spotting wild life and learning about native plant species. After lunch at the Guest House, we will transfer you to Petra. This evening, why not add on our Petra by Night excursion and see the site lit up by thousands of candles - truly stunning!
